Michael J. Ruen
Senior Managing Director, Separate Accounts/JVs & Development
Mr. Ruen is a Principal and Senior Managing Director for Separate Accounts/JVs & Development responsible for the investment of separate account and joint venture capital in land and property acquisition for development/redevelopment across High Street’s regions nationally. Mr. Ruen has been active for 30 years in industrial and logistics property investment, development and operations. Prior to joining High Street, he was with DCT Industrial Trust for 14 years where he was Managing Director responsible for development and operations for the Eastern US and served as a member of the Executive Management Team. Before joining DCT, Mr. Ruen was with Prologis for 10 years where he served as Senior Vice President and Southeast Regional Head for investment and operations. Mr. Ruen holds a BS from University of Alabama and a Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) from Georgia State University. Mr. Ruen is a member of High Street’s Management Committee.
Managing Director, Development & Construction
Mr. Puckhaber is Managing Director for Development and Construction responsible for development and construction of both ground-up and re-development projects, including oversight of property tenant work and capital projects, across all funds and separate accounts/JVs. Mr. Puckhaber has over 22 years of development and construction experience including all facets of design, engineering, entitlements, contract negotiation, pre-development, project management and build-to-suit. Prior to joining High Street, he spent 4 years with DCT/Prologis as Senior Vice President of Development/Construction for the East Region. Before Joining DCT, Mr. Puckhaber spent 10 years with Panattoni Development as the Senior Development Manager for National Build to Suit projects. Mr. Puckhaber holds a Civil Engineering degree from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Georgia State University.
James R. Redland
Managing Director, Joint Ventures & Separate Accounts
Mr. Redland is responsible for overseeing acquisitions nationwide for Joint Ventures & Separate Accounts. Mr. Redland joined High Street in May 2018 after 19 years at First Industrial Realty Trust. During his tenure at First Industrial Realty Trust, Mr. Redland was involved in over $3.5 billion of transactions with his most recent role as a Senior Investment Officer. Prior to joining First Industrial Realty Trust, he served as a Financial Analyst at The Greenwich Group International in Los Angeles, CA. Mr. Redland holds a BS in Public Affairs with a concentration in Management and a minor in Biology from Indiana.
Jonathan T. Scott
Mr. Scott is responsible for supporting all aspects of development and construction activities, and has a lead role in the execution of land acquisitions, new construction, capital projects and tenant improvements. Mr. Scott has over 13 years of construction experience including all facets of project management, pre-construction, engineering, design, build-to-suit, contract negation, and project execution. Prior to joining High Street, he spent over 2 years with Evans General Contractors (EGC) as a Senior Project Manager. Before joining EGC, Mr. Scott spent over 10 years in Heavy Industrial Construction, with Kiewit Power Constructors and Summit Industrial Construction. Mr. Scott holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University.
Samuel J. Berman
Senior Investment Analyst, Separate Accounts
Sam Berman joined High Street in 2020 as a Senior Investment Analyst. Mr. Berman is responsible for supporting all aspects related to acquisition and underwriting across High Street’s Joint Venture & Separate Accounts. Prior to joining High Street, Mr. Berman was a Financial Analyst at JLL working within the Financial Consulting Group in Chicago. In this role, Mr. Berman provided strategic consulting by helping tenants evaluate commercial lease, purchase, and built-to-suit options through comparative analysis. Mr. Berman earned his BS in Applied Mathematics and BA in Economics from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Hayes D. Brewer
Hayes Brewer joined High Street in 2020 as an Associate and is responsible for supporting all aspects of the development process in each of High Street’s regions. Mr. Brewer is also responsible for supporting all acquisition opportunities in the southeast. Prior to joining High Street, Mr. Brewer was an Associate at Patterson Real Estate Advisory Group in Atlanta. In this role, Mr. Brewer was directly involved in the closing of more than 20 transactions encompassing over $400 million in debt and equity placements in markets throughout the southeast. Mr. Brewer earned his BA in Finance and Economics from the University of Alabama where he played four years of collegiate tennis.
